On the evening of December 17, 2020, Taijiquan was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity after being evaluated and approved by the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.  Mr. Xing Qilin attended the celebration as a representative of Li-style Taiji, one of the seven national Taiji schools, and gave a speech and demonstration on the topic of Taiji culture, which was well received by the leaders of the National Ministry of Culture and Tourism as well as experts and peers attending the conference.

Tianzhen means the way of heaven and earth, the truth of the universe, and the virtues of nurturing the true nature of man and all things.  


TZY was co-founded in 2001 by Mr. Xing Qilin, the fourth generation inheritor of Li-style Taiji (he is recognized by China and UNESCO as a custodian of a world-class intangible cultural heritage), and Dr. Cui Ailing.  TZY was officially completed in 2009 with on-going expansions and development.  Located between Beijing and Tianjin, in the ancient city of Yongyang, now Chengguan Town in Wuqing, it is a base for Taiji cultural practice.


TZY established "Tianzhen International Academy" in 2010, and began co-operations with many domestic and foreign educational institutions to enhance the quality of education. The Academy offers special courses such as tea ceremony, incense ceremony, flower arrangment, calligraphy, etc.; integrating the essences of Eastern and Western culture, we promote training for both the internal and the external by cultivating proficiency in both literature and martial arts.
